1990 Strathclyde 28 Year Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky

Today it is Glasgow's only grain distillery producing grain whisky for big brand blends. ere are no o cial distillery bottlings, so it falls to independent bottlers to release these lesser known gems in to the market. Strathclyde was also home to the Kinclaith malt distillery from 1957 to 1975.
Nose: Waxy citrus peel, vanilla custard, whipped cream, tropical fruit salad and cafe au lait.
Taste: Oily, salted caramel ice cream, fruit syrup, sweet tangerine, but not over sweet. Soft oak shows its age.
Finish: Clean and balanced, warming, drier than palate, fades to gentle carousing aftertaste.
